in an authorial, light and creative way! With a great passion for cinema and the arts, we want to produce projects in a fair and healthy way, in addition to dedicating the necessary time to ensure that the projects have the highest quality, relevance and impact.
We produce fiction films and original cultural products, with professionalism and a critical view of the events in the world around us.

Júlia Rios, 24 years old, was born in Brasília and is a Gemini with Virgo rising. She really likes to live life as Marília Pêra used to say: “I learned that we shouldn’t take ourselves too seriously, if you make fun of yourself a little, life can be lighter. And hope with humor is a good philosophy of life.”
Júlia loves taking her family to the movies and coming home to play with “her friends” (as she calls her dogs). Her favorite time of year is Christmas because of the food and the Rios family’s Secret Santa. Júlia would make a documentary about it if she could!
Julia's earliest movie-related memory? When her brothers binge-watched The Lord of the Rings with her. Better than the regular version, only the extended version!
And when did Júlia imagine herself working in cinema? It was while watching several making of The Walking Dead that Júlia thought “I want to do that!” and, later, she discovered the assistant director position at the Brasília Festival.
What is your fondest memory of Respiro Filmes? The year 2024, in general, was special for Júlia. She is very happy and inspired to be able to dedicate her time to authorial projects that she believes in.
And finally, what phrase do Luiza and Helô associate with Júlia? The first one that comes to mind is the phrase that is immortalized in Luiza's acknowledgements to Júlia in the duo's final paper: “If I were an American teenager, without a doubt, in my closet would be the phrase: What would Júlia Rios do?”

Luiza Chagas, 24 years old, a Gemini with a lot of planets in Gemini, is from Rio de Janeiro, born in Jacarepaguá. She moved to Brasília with her mother, father and sister when she was 6 years old, back in 2006.
Luiza loves to cook... sometimes! She has a pretty bad memory and that's why she knows how to keep secrets well (she ends up forgetting them). She can't choose a favorite dish, an outfit or a favorite movie genre, but she usually says that she likes everything that's good, whatever it is, as long as it's good, she'll like it.
Luiza’s earliest movie-related memory? A Sunday at the movies with her family, watching Nicole Kidman in “The Golden Compass,” a 2007 film.
And when did Luiza imagine herself working in cinema? The desire to work, really work in cinema, only emerged when she was already studying Audiovisual at the University of Brasília and found herself in the area of direct sound.
What is your fondest memory of Respiro Filmes? Without a doubt, the moment when the company's first project was approved by the Culture Support Fund (FAC) – the development of the feature film "50".
And finally, what phrase do Helô and Júlia associate with Luiza? We can't leave out Luiza's aesthetic when sending stickers on WhatsApp with the phrase "Good morning, let's be happy!" and the high five accompanied by "ihuul" that she always says when she's excited about something.
